Severe Weather Information
Communicating Closings and Delays
In the event of severe weather, the Vice President for Administration & Finance in consultation with the President and the Director of Campus Safety & Emergency Preparedness may decide to shift operations to virtual, to close the University for the day, delay opening the University, or close the University earlier than usual.
Information regarding closure or delayed opening is communicated on nbft.601951.com, the intranet, social media and through Kettering Alert messages. The University makes every effort to make a decision regarding severe weather closings or delays communicated to the campus community by 6 a.m. Changing weather conditions and/or circumstances may alter this timing.
Classes
In the event of an inclement weather day under which the University announces a delay in opening or closing of the campus, all scheduled classes will move to full virtual online mode for the period of the delay or closing. Faculty and students should be prepared to do so as needed.
On Campus Staff
To the extent possible, all staff employees will be expected to move to virtual remote working mode.
